New Operations Manager

We are pleased to announce that the Operations Manager position has been filled by Dagoberto Contreras.  He is eager to learn and looking forward to connecting with all of the agencies and board members to better serve South Kane County.

2019 Lyle E. Oncken Community Service Award Recipient Selected

This year the INC Board of Directors rightfully awarded the Lyle E. Oncken Community Service Award to Jerry Murphy, retired Executive Director of the INC Board, NFP.
Jerry was nominated by two different individuals.  One of his nominators stated that Jerry deserved this award “for unfailingly placing the needs of the community as his highest priority and his leadership which has allowed service provider agencies to aid thousands of individuals, both clients and their families. without his dedication the service landscape in southern Kane County wouldn’t be as comprehensive.”

Ken Rojek, President of the INC Board and Big Rock Township Supervisor, presented Jerry his award at the March INC Board meeting.

New Executive Director Announced

At their January 2019 INC Board meeting, the Board of Directors appointed Dalila Alegria as the organization’s new Executive Director effective April 1, 2019.  Dalila has been with INC since 2016 as Operations Manager, and has coordinated a number of significant operational, financial, and technological enhancements across the organization. She is eager to serve the community in this new capacity.  Congratulations Dalila!

Executive Director to Retire

After working for INC for over 28 years, the last 17 as Executive Director, Jerry Murphy has decided to retire, effective no later than June 30, 2019.  The INC Board will be establishing a search committee for Murphy’s successor in the very near future. 

Jerry plans to move to the Madison, WI area, joining the rest of his immediate family.  He also plans on remaining a Chicago Bears fan, despite moving to the Land of Cheese.

We wish him the best in his retirement and he will be greatly missed!!!
